Did CNBC Kill a Program Because The Show May Have Doubled as PR?

POLITICO reported that CNBC ended its program World Business after the Sarawak Report revealed "the show's production company was doubling as a PR firm for Malaysian politicians."

The Sarawak Report, a site for "citizens and onlookers deeply concerned by the situation in Sarawak, East Malaysia," indicated that the production company, FBC Media, may have helped "improve [politician Taib Mahmud's] international image" by airing "puff pieces."

Mediaite noted that the program wasn't shown in the U.S.
