MemeBurn.com reported in late May that former president Bill Clinton has suggested either the U.S. government or the United Nations establish an agency to fact-check the web.

Clinton advised the organization should be independent and transparent regarding funding.  Specifically, he commented that the agency couldn’t be controlled by the president as to avoid the suggestion that the government was “censoring the news and giving a different falsehood out.”
