The Canadian news agency CBC announced Nov. 17 that is has updated its “CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices (JSP) manual.”

It took almost two years to update and modernize the editorial standards, the CBC stated.

“Our goal is to make this a living document,” the CBC explained.  “It is a tool to help our journalists make smart, ethical decisions in situations where there are many shades of grey, and to guide them to carry out the best public-service journalism we can provide.”
