“For me the most notable issue with comics journalism is the complete lack of an editorial presence. Even on CBR and newsarama, bad links, misspellings, and poor formatting abound as if it’s acceptable. This makes the articles have that “fanzine” style that he’s talking about. It’s hard to call the folks that work on these sites journalists when they probably don’t even have the grasp of English necessary to get an internship at cnn.com.
