The Guardian posted a note Dec. 20 noting that it added a correction to 37 stories about News of the World.

As we wrote earlier this month, the Guardian retracted its allegation that News of the World journalists deleted the voicemails of at-the-time missing teenager Milly Dowler.  The retraction/correction came after the UK police determined that it was “unlikely” the journalists intentionally deleted the voicemails. Instead, it was possible that her viocemails were automatically deleted.
