The New York Times mixed up two actresses who are sisters in an obituary this week.

The Times originally reported Monday, April 27 on the death of Jayne Meadows, listing her as the star of the TV show the Honeymooners playing Alice Kramden.

Meadows was an actress and Steve Allen’s wife.

But Meadows’ sister Audrey Meadows played Alice Kramden, the wife of Jackie Gleason’s Ralph Kramden, on the show.

The Times correction states:

“Correction: April 27, 2015: A headline and summary with an earlier version of this obituary incorrectly identified Ms. Meadows. Her sister, Audrey Meadows, played Alice Kramden on the sitcom ‘The Honeymooners’; Jayne Meadows did not.”
