Media Bistro questioned People magazine’s correction of its report claiming that a reality TV star left rehab.

According to Media Bistro, People broke the news, which was later re-reported by “everyone from Radar Online to HollywoodLife.com.” The story was wrong, and People unpublished the post; however, MediaBistro suggested People tried to bury its error.

Instead of a full-fledged correction, the magazine added this line to a follow-up report –“Despite earlier reports she had left treatment and was home with her sister Kyle, she was, in fact, visited by Kyle” —  which doesn’t indicate that People “originated the misinformation.” Or, at the very least, People is trying to create its own “reality” about this TV star.

Gossip Cop also debunked the original People story here.
