Gawker reported that The Hollywood Reporter got the name of Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel wrong by calling her Andrea Merkel, in a report on the past week’s Saturday Night Live.

Gawker pointed out that Merkel’s name was correctly shown in a video clip of the SNL skit, Weekend Update, that was embedded  in the Hollywood Reporter article.

The Hollywood Reporter has since corrected Merkel’s name and appended a note to its story that states:

“Editor’s note: The name of German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been corrected from a previous version of this story.”
