Two convicted News of the World phone hackers have already been released from prison.

Former chief reporter Neville Thurlbeck and former news editor Greg Miskiw were “released after serving 37 days of their six-month sentences,” the Press Gazette reported.

So how did they get out of prison so quickly?

It was a combination of an early release for good behavior and credit for time served.

Meanwhile, Andy Coulson, former News of the World editor and former communications director for Prime Minister David Cameron, is still serving his phone hacking sentence. He has an 18-month sentence.

Coulson, Miskiw, Thurlbeck and two others were sentenced last month.
