An Irish newspaper has named a celebrity actor who reportedly got a superinjunction to prevent the press from reporting on his alleged affair with a woman, the Metro reported.  The celebrity, known as “ETK” reportedly had an affair from Nov. 2009 until April 2010.

Press Gazette reported that the Irish newspaper identifying the actor is the Sunday World.   The Daily Mail reported that UK newspapers “are still banned from” naming the actor.

According to the Daily Mail, “more than 100,000 users” on Twitter have “seen claims of ETK’s true identity and that of his well-known mistress.”

iMediaEthics reported in May when the Scottish newspaper the Sunday Herald identified the soccer player who obtained a UK superinjunction to prevent his being named in the press as having an alleged affair with Imogen Thomas.
