Tabloid Watch criticized the Daily Mail for writing a suggestive story about Kim Kardashian, a reality TV star who has far surpassed her allotted 15 minutes of fame.  The June 22 Daily Mail story was titled “Watch out! Kim Kardashian’s close encounter … with a bus.”

But, Kardashian wasn’t hit or almost hit by a bus, as the headline may lead one to believe.  She was just pictured crossing the street and a bus happened to be in the background, Tabloid Watch noted.

“That was used as the basis for an article,” Tabloid Watch commented, adding that the Daily Mail also included “three sentences describing her outfit.”

The Daily Mail reported that it “appears to be her closest brush yet with public transport” and noted that “it’s not clear whether it was in motion.”

So…a celebrity crossed the street in front of a bus that may have been stopped or parked. That’s news?
