Two South African newspapers published a fake story about Leeds United soccer player Davide Somma, Football365.co.za reported.  The articles, on news sites Soccer Laduma and the Times Live, claim that Somma “has joined promotion-chasing English Champsionside side Swansea City FC on a four-month loan from Leeds United.”

As Football365 reported, Somma’s team addressed the rumors in a statement on its website:

“Leeds United would like to confirm that striker Davide Somma has not joined Swansea City.  The story, somewhat strangely, claims that Davide has joined the Welsh club on loan.  We can confirm that the story is totally incorrect.”
