During a late September media ethics conference, 75 Liberian journalists agreed to “preach peace prior, during and after Liberia’s October 11, 2011 presidential and legislative elections,” the Heritage reported.

The conference was hosted in part by Liberia’s Press Union and called “Stand up for Good Journalism.”

The journalists agreed to carefully chose their words in reporting on the elections and conflict, according to the Heritage.
