The Erie Times-News has been sued for libel after it used a photo of Gary N. Wiley as a suspect in a robbery, the newspaper reported.  In fact, the defendant in the robbery case is Gary C. Wiley.

The inaccurate photo was published on April 15, 2010.  “The prison mistakenly provided the photo of Gary N. Wiley rather than Gary C. Wiley.” The newspaper later published a correction, but Gary N. Wiley is claiming libel per se and negligence.
