New 'Editorial Principles' at Brazilian Media Company - iMediaEthics

Brazilian media company Grupo Globo has published new “editorial principles,” according to the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas.

According to the Knight Center, the principles call on staff to focus on “impartiality, accuracy and agility” and to report without sensationalism.  The guidelines also advise journalists on their relationships with sources and the public.

Journalists are advised to fact check and correct any errors clearly.
