Prince Albert Suing UK Times of London for Libel, Wants Injunction

Monaco’s Prince Albert has filed a libel lawsuit against the Sunday Times over its article “The Full Filthy Monte” that includes “suggestions that he forcibly prevented his fiancée from leaving the country before their wedding after rumours emerged that he had fathered a third illegitimate child,” the Evening Standard reported.

The report also indicates Prince Albert “turned a blind eye to severe police brutality and abuse of power” as well as corruption, money laundering, organized crime, and more, the Press Gazette reported Prince Albert claims.

According to the Press Gazette, the report ran on the front-page on “the day after their wedding.”

He wants £300,000 and an injunction, according to the Evening Standard.
