Newsweek published a series of photos of Julian Assange titled “Christmas with Julian.”  The ten photos picture the WikiLeaks founder collecting chicken eggs, throwing firewood and sitting at the dinner table. (See here.) Assange is currently staying at Frontline Club owner Vaughn Smith’s home outside of London.

In these Newsweek photos, Assange is shown relaxing and dressed up in a Santa Claus costume.

Also noteworthy is Newsweek’s captions for the images:  In them, Assange is described as a “showman,” his hat as “slung rakishly to the side,” and his attire as that of “a proper country gentleman.”

In addition to the Newsweek spread, Mediaite recently spotted Assange guest-starring in a “rap” video circulated online.  See Assange’s appearance on “Rap News” here.
