The Syrian Electronic Army has hacked another news site.  In recent months the group has hacked BBC Twitter accounts, the AFP’s Twitter account, and Al Jazeera’s “mobile service.”

This time, it’s the website for National Public Radio and “some of NPR’s Twitter accounts,” according to NPR’s own report about the hack.

NPR published a statement explaining that on April 15 the hackers changed “headlines and text” as well as some tweets.

“We have made the necessary corrections to those stories on NPR.org,” the statement added.

In response to a tweet asking about the reason for the hack, the Syrian Electronic Army directed followers, via a tweet, to “ask @deborahamos”about the hack.  Amos is an NPR reporter who has covered Syria.
