The UK Daily Telegraph apologized and paid a settlement to British composer Simon Boswell because the newspaper “failed to report that he had been cleared of assaulting his former partner, actor Lysette Anthony,” the Guardian reported.

Instead, the Telegraph reported Boswell’s “magistrates court trial for assault was continuing.”

The Telegraph’s apology (see here) explains the “error” was because of “an incorrect press agency report.”  This is the Telegraph’s Dec. 13 article in question, which appears to have been updated.
