Sport magazine apologized for and retracted fake quotes attributed to professional soccer player Cesc Fábregas, the Guardian reported.
The fake quotes stated that he switched soccer teams because he didn’t think Arsenal would win “in the near future.”
Fábregas, who plays for Barcelona, tweeted that he got the apology and retraction and noted that the magazine paid him “damages” he intends to donate to charity, according to the Guardian.
Earlier this month, Fábregas denied the quotes via Twitter, the Guardian reported.
