Indian Actress Nayanthara : Magazine Faked Exclusive Interview With Me

Indian actress Nayanthara has accused Indian film magazine Santhosham of publishing fake interview with her. Santhosham is an eight-year-old Indian film magazine.

The alleged fake article claimed that Nayanthara said she was “quitting movies” at the advice of Indian actor-director Prabhu Deva.  Further, Nayanthara was quoted as saying ” We are still together and we will announce our wedding soon.””

Deva “confessed about his love for Nayanthara” in a 2010 Times of India story. However, Deva is married to another woman, Latha Prabhu Deva, who applied for and was granted an “interim injunction” preventing Deva from marrying Nayanthara.

The Times of India reported Nayanthara criticized Santhosham for its fake interview.  “I’m shell-shocked reading a fabricated interview of mine published in a Telugu magazine. I swear that I have not spoken to the publication. They are trying to sensationalise things and blow it out of proportion by publishing an interview that never took place!”

Nayanthara went on to reiterate that she never participated in the interview and that she’s never stated that she’s quitting working in movies.

“There has been more written about me than other actors, but normally, I don’t clarify or deny these reports because then, I’ll end up doing only that! But what has made me very angry and sad now is that they’ve published a manufactured interview,” Nayanthara reportedly stated.

Nayanthara suggested that she will take legal action as a result of the article, commenting:  “I will definitely take it up with the authorities concerned and ask them for proof of the interview. Just because I don’t react to many media-made stories about me does not mean I will take things lying down.”

SiFy.com also reported comments from Nayanthara about the fake interview, in which Nayanthara claimed again “First and foremost, I have not spoken to any media in the recent past. And I was shocked that the magazine carried a fabricated interview with me, which has been taken by all sections of media including newspapers and Internet”.

The alleged fake interview was re-reported by several blogs and like IndiaGlitz, BehindWoods and Cinegoer.com.
