A Kentucky television news station aired photograph of actor John Wayne along with coverage of two convicts escaping from prison, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Lexington Fox-affiliate WDKY explained to the Times that it uses a photo of John Wayne from the original True Grit movie as “the default for mugshots before they are uploaded.”
Because of an error, the station didn’t upload the real image of inmate Michael Fleet.
