Grazia Magazine Says it Photoshopped Kate Middleton

Grazia magazine stated that it did “inadvertently” Photoshop picture of Kate Middleton from her wedding to Prince William, the Guardian reported. The magazine explained that it took the photo of the couple, cut out Prince William, and used “a mirror image of her left arm” to make the photo look as if it was just of Middleton.

According to the Guardian, the magazine stated that it didn’t intend to edit the photo “to make her appear slimmer.”  The photo of Middleton by herself in her wedding dress was used for the magazine’s May 9 edition.

The UK Press Complaints Commission reportedly looked into the matter after receiving complaints about the image.

According to the Independent, Grazia is weekly UK fashion magazine owned by Bauer Media.  Bauer Publishing, its “sister company,” owns In Touch.  As iMediaEthics has previously written, David Beckham sued Bauer Publishing and In Touch last year over its report claiming he slept with a prostitute. The case was later dismissed by a U.S. judge.
