No WikiLeaks Russia Style?

In recent essay, Foreign Policy studied Russia’s freedom of expression restrictions. Foreign Policy noted that Russia’s “mass media law is highly detailed and inclusive.”  The topics of military, economy, science and technology and foreign policy” are considered confidential, and therefore the press is restricted in its reporting.

The restrictions on confidential information were approved by former Russian president Boris Yeltsin and also are “particularly restrictive when it comes to the premature dissemination of information that could be perceived as threatening state security or interfering with intelligence gathering, which includes on-going criminal investigations.”
