NPR’s ombudsman, Alicia Shepard, blogged about how news organizations need to be better about correcting errors, Web Newser reported. One way would be by adding “Report an Error” button to news sites, and Shepard “pushed” for the button to be added to NPR’s site.
The “Report an Error” button is an idea put forward by Regret the Error’s Craig Silverman and MediaBugs’ Scott Rosenberg. MediaBugs reportedly provides a widget for “Report an Error” for free.
