Palin Emails as Alaska governor Crowdsourced

The New York Times and the Washington Post are “crowdsourcing” reporting on the publication of Sarah Palin’s e-mails as Alaska governor, MediaBistro reported.  The newspapers have asked readers to highlight “interesting and newsworthy” e-mails and comment about them.

MediaBistro explained that the reader involvement is important and significant because “This marks one of the largest crowdsourcing projects that I can recall for the two national newspapers”

The Times has also asked readers who work on the e-mails to include their name and contact information so the Times can credit them.
