PCC: ‘Inappropriate’ to Investigate Naked Prince Harry Pics Complaints

The UK Press Complaints Commission issued a statement on the 3,800 complaints filed over the UK Sun’s publishing naked photos of Prince Harry.

According to the statement, Prince Harry’s representatives aren’t among the complainants, so the PCC wrote that “an investigation by the Commission, without consent, would have the potential itself to pose an intrusion.”

As such, the PCC said it’s “inappropriate” to look into the complaints.

We wrote Aug. 23 about the UK Palace contacting the PCC about the photos and asking UK media not to publish the pictures.  The News Corp.-owned Sun decided to run the pictures anyway in its Aug. 24 edition.
