Righthaven Defendant Calls for almost $150K from Righthaven

Blogger Wayne Hoehn called for Righthaven to pay him almost $150,000 in bond, according to Ars Technica. Righthaven is the company that sues for copyrights on behalf of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and, until recently, the Denver Post.

Hoehn, who Righthaven sued alleging copyright infringement, won nearly $35,000 when the judge ruled against Righthaven.  However, Righthaven hasn’t paid the money yet, as Ars Technica explained. Righthaven told the court earlier this month that it may go into bankruptcy when it asked judge to grant a “stay” in the order to pay Hoehn the $34,000, as StinkyJournalism wrote.
