Tennessee Newspaper Photoshops Political Candidates

The Murfreesboro Post used Photoshop to edit in photo of  politician U.S. Rep. Diane Black in a photo of her opponent Lou Ann Zelenik at a shooting range, the Nashville Scene reportedThe Post’s managing editor, Michelle Willard is quoted as saying :

“The cover was not intended to advocate violence against any of our honorable representatives. It was meant to represent the heated, ongoing battle between Rep. Diane Black and her challenger in the August Primary, Lou Ann Zelenik.”

Zelenik called the photo “absolutely awful” and Black questioned how “the photo meets any standards of decency or journalism ethics,” News Channel 5 reported.

We wrote in January when the Murfreesboro Post accused News Channel 5 of lifting its story without credit.
