Fox News, BuzzFeed Post Michelle Fields’ Phone & Address

BuzzFeed and Fox News both published Michelle Fields‘ phone number and Corey Lewandowski’s personal information.

Because of the information briefly being made public, Fields said she had to leave her apartment and received threatening phone calls she told conservative news outlet The Blaze.

“Fields told The Blaze that she had been inundated with threatening messages on her phone after the two outlets posted the arrest report and failed to redact her personal information,” the outlet reported.

Fields is the former Breitbart reporter who accused Donald Trump campaign manager Lewandowski of having grabbed her earlier this month at a Trump campaign event.

iMediaEthics saw the BuzzFeed post, which shows both Lewandowski’s and Fields’ personal information. An update on the BuzzFeed article confirms:

“Update: A previous version of this post included a document that contained the address and phone number of Fields and Lewandowski. The document has since been removed.”

The Jupiter, Florida police charged Lewandowski with simple battery last week. When publishing the police report, the two outlets didn’t block out her personal information.

Jupiter Florida police department Public Information Officer Adam Brown told iMediaEthics “Here in Florida, the information is considered a public record.”

BuzzFeed declined to comment. Fox News hasn’t responded to iMediaEthics’ inquiry.
