The Guardian updated its editorial code specifically to add privacy standards, Journalism.co.uk reported.

The code was last updated four years ago.  New guidelines establish rules for handling privacy invasion, Journalism.co.uk reported.

The Guardian’s readers editor Chris Elliott wrote about the revisions noting that there are “12 new or updated sections.”  One new clause covers endorsements, according to Elliott.
