News Corp. announced that its new weekly newspaper The Sun on Sunday will begin publishing next week, the Associated Press reported.

We wrote last week when News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch announced the launch of the new newspaper.

As the AP explained, The Sun on Sunday “will replace the top-selling News of the World, which was closed in July” because of phone hacking claims.  News Corp.’s UK branch, News International registered two domains for The Sun on Sunday the same month it closed News of the World.

The Sun wrote about the new newspaper, noting that the Feb. 27 first edition is the “first ever Sunday edition” of the Sun.
