The Washington Examiner unpublished an article about the government shutdown because it “did not meet the Washington Examiner’s editorial standards.”

The article was headlined, “Shutdown imminent after Senate Dems block bill funding Trump’s wall.”

In a retraction, the Examiner wrote:

EDITOR’S NOTE: On Dec. 21, 2018, the Washington Examiner published a story “Shutdown imminent after Senate Dems block bill funding Trump’s wall.” The story did not meet the WashingtonExaminer‘s editorial standards and has been retracted. Links to the story have been disabled. The Washington Examiner apologizes to our readers.”
