MP Zahid Oruj criticized Russian radio station host Vladimir Solovyev for his “anti-Azerbaijani statements,” Trend reported.  ABC.az reported that “Azerbaijan’s Russian community” plans to sue Solovyev.

According to Trend and ABC.az, on Nov. 1, Solovyev’s Vesti FM comments accused Azerbaijani of racism.

According to APA.az, Semyon Ikhilov, the “head of Mountain Jews Religious Community of Baku” claimed “Solovyov unsuccessfully attempted to compare Azerbaijanis’ attitude toward Armenians with Holocaust.”  Ikhilov defended against accusations of “genocide acts against Armenians.”

According to Vestnik Kavkaza, Solovyov also labeled Azerbaijanis “crud.”  We have written to Vesti FM for more information and will update with any response.
