Woman asks Judge to Intervene in Newspaper's Reports

Joanna Snyder, described by the Salem News as "a career con woman," asked a judge to restrict a reporter's coverage of her, the Salem News reported.

Snyder told the judge that the Salem News' stories "include details about her long criminal history, are upsetting to her and her 19-year-old daughter, who recently had a baby."

The judge denied her request as it would amount to prior restraint and break the First Amendment, the Salem News explained.
