The Sri Lanka Press Institute is hosting an international journalism ethics conference in Colombo in January.

The Jan. 13-15 conference, titled the International Conference on Self-Regulation & Ethical News Reporting, is expected to bring “together academics, researchers, professionals and media practitioners from Asia and worldwide for a productive and rewarding exchange of insights, experiences, views and perspectives on the need for self-regulation and Ethics in news reporting,” according to Sri Lankan news site Colombo Page.

The event was originally scheduled for last month, but was re-scheduled. According to a brochure for the conference published on the  Sri Lanka Press Institute website, the conference costs $150.
