The International Journalists’ Network highlighted “ethics basics for bloggers” in a recent post for Mashable.

For example, the group focused on the need for “accountability” (via comments, for example), “accuracy” and quick corrections, remaining independent from stories and balancing “tone.”

The network also pointed to the Washington Post’s “blog policy,” food blogging ethics and other guidance on blogging standards.
