Minnesota NBC-affiliate KTTC fired multimedia reporter Jim Bunner for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat when he was reporting on a Pres. Donald Trump rally.

“News Director Noel Sederstrom says the station does not allow staff members to cover stories while wearing apparel from political campaigns. Sederstrom says Bunner was fired Friday,” The Associated Press reported.

Sederstrom told BuzzFeed News  “He violated our policy so he’s no longer with us. We don’t allow our people to wear campaign clothing while on assignment.”

iMediaEthics has written to Sederstrom for more information; we’ve tweeted Bunner for his response to the firing.
