Singer Cheryl Cole is suing Now magazine for publishing two articles that contain what she says is fake information and information “misusing private information about her,” the BBC reported.  Cole also is attempting to get ” an injunction to ban IPC media from repeating the allegations.”

Now is published by IPC Media.

The magazine claimed Cole had a “secret romance” with rapper MC Harvey in the Feb. 6 article  “World Exclusive: So Solid’s Harvey ‘My Secret Romance with Cheryl.'”  Cole has filed a libel lawsuit over that article, according to the Press Gazette.

The magazine defended itself, the UK Metro reported.  According to Metro, Harvey denied telling Metro that he had “a relationship with her.”  However, Now’s  news editor Jess Boulton countered that claim, noted “we record every interview” and said she was “upset that my professionalism and character had been called into question.”
