After resigning earlier this month, automobile reviewer Scott Burgess will go back to the Detroit News, the News reported.

Burgess resigned after advertiser complaints prompted the Detroit News to ask him to change his already-published online review of the Chrysler 200 car.  See StinkyJournalism’s earlier report on Burgess’ resignation here.

“They apologized and I accepted it,” Burgess is quoted as saying.

Gawker-owned auto blog Jaloponik published comments from a memo Burgess sent to other newspaper employees, in which he said “the reason for me to come back has everything to do with all of you.”
