NBC Sports cut ties with hockey commentator Jeremy Roenick.

“I can confirm that he will not be returning to NBC Sports.  We have nothing further to add,” an NBC Sports spokesperson told iMediaEthics, declining to specify if Roenick was fired or if his contract expired.

Roenick, a former NHL player, was suspended in late December over his problematic comments about coworkers in a Barstool Sports podcast, as iMediaEthics previously reported. He called one co-worker “beautiful” and said he would “have to think about” going to bed with her; he also remarked about “going to bed” with another coworker.

“I’m very disappointed and angry today,” Roenick said in a Twitter video Feb. 12 about his apparent firing. “I will not be returning to NBC.” iMediaEthics has written to Roenick.

He captioned the video, “What a joke!!”
