Laurie Fine has officially sued ESPN, the Associated Press reported.

As we previously wrote, Fine announced in mid-May that she was planning to sue over claims the sports outlet made in its reporting on her husband, Bernie Fine, the former assistance men’s basketball coach at Syracuse University who has been accused of molestation. Among many claims, she labeled a taped phone call purportedly between her and an accused of her husband “admittedly doctored, substantially inaudible, and entirely speculative.”

Fine said she wanted an apology and retraction.  After she announced her plans to sue, ESPN published the full video on its website.

Her lawsuit was filed May 21.  In ESPN’s own report on the filed lawsuit, it reported again a quote from its spokesperson defending ESPN’s reporting and calling the lawsuit “without merit.”
