Whoops! iMediaEthics was catching up on the latest updates in the search for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the suspect in the Boston Marathon explosions, and heard an expletive made it on the air on NBC News.

The s-word was accidentally aired just a few minutes ago during NBC Nightly News’ broadcast coverage of the lockdown in Watertown, Mass.

The person talking on the feed didn’t seem to realize his mike was broadcasting.  After a few seconds, NBC News’ Brian Williams apologized for the language. Williams said:

“We apologize for the language we inadvertently aired during what was a mix-up of communuications on their part.”
