MediaBistro reported that SFWeekly contributor John Rinaldo was fired from the newspaper after he “organized a political protest against the city for allowing private vendors in a public park.”

Rinaldi told Fishbowl LA that an editor at SF Weekly, Keith Bowers, stated “his boss said that my position on the park thing was contrary to his boss’s. He wouldn’t tell me which one.”

SF Weekly blogged April 20 in advance of the protest letting readers know where he will be.
