A UK High Court placed “permanent injunctions” against four unnamed paparazzi photographers following a harassment claim by One Direction’s Harry Styles, the Press Gazette reported this month.

Styles first received an injunction against the photographers in December.  That injunction set out the following rules, according to Press Gazette, that forbade the photographers from:

• “pursuing the singer by car or motorcycle,
• “placing him under surveillance,
• “loitering or waiting within 50 metres of his place of residence to monitor his movements or take photos of him in such circumstances”

According to the UK Telegraph, in December, when Styles first received the injunction, his lawyer David Sherborne said

“This is not a privacy injunction. Mr Styles is not trying to prevent fans approaching him in the street and taking photos. He remains happy to do that, as he always has. Rather, it is the method or tactics which have been used by a certain type of photographer.”

The March court hearing granted Styles “an extension” on the injunction, according to the BBC.
