MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace apologized after claiming on air that Pres. Donald Trump called for “an extermination of Latinos.”

She said in a tweet her “mistake was unintentional.”

However, Wallace added, “Trump’s constant assault on people of color and his use of the word ‘invasion’ to describe the flow of immigrants is intentional and consistent.”

According to Mediaite, Wallace made the extermination comment in an Aug. 5 show in which she interviewed USA Today columnist Paul Reyes. Reyes argued that Trump’s use of the words invasion and infestation meant “the natural conclusion is attempt and extermination.”
