The Pakistan Observer published a clarification disclosing that an Interservice Public Relations spokesperson “contradicted” the newspaper’s story and claimed the story featured “factually incorrect and misleading”comments.

The spokesperson had called for the media to “refrain from speculative reporting on such sensitive issues related to national security,” according to the clarification.
