Yemeni journalists are working on an ethics code, the Yemen Post reported.

Accordng to the Yemen Post, the ethics code development was “launched” by the country’s Journalists’ Syndicate.  The syndicate, “with support from the USAID,” will complete the ethics code by next year.

Journalists in Yemen have faced many other obstacles in recent times. Earlier this year, for example, Reporters without Borders gave Yemen its “worst ever” placement on its annual press freedom list at 171.
