A self-publisher, Chris McGrath filed a libel lawsuit against Richard Dawkins, Vaughn Jones and Amazon over Jones’ negative review of McGrath’s book.  The negative review of McGrath’s book was published on Amazon’s reviews and on re-published on Dawkins’ website.

According to MocoNews, McGrath’s book, The Attempted Murder of God: Hidden Science you Really Need to Know was published last year. The Independent reported that promotional links for the book were posted “under reviews for ‘the Grand Design,’ a popular science book by Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow.” He published under a pseudonym and claimed it was a parody after it received negative reviews, according to the Independent.

According to the LA Times, both websites took down the reviews because of the lawsuit.
